Nominating Petitions Available Soon for Richland Community College’s Board of Trustees Election
Decatur, IL – Nominating petitions for people seeking election to the Richland Community College Board of Trustees are available by appointment or electronically beginning Tuesday, September 6, 2022. Petitions can begin circulation on Tuesday, September 20, 2022.
The positions on the Board of Trustees which will appear on the ballot in this election are three full six-year terms for seats currently held by Wayne Dunning, Bruce Campbell and Ben Andreas.
To be eligible to seek election, one must, on the day of his/her election, be a citizen of the United States, 18 years of age or older, and a resident of the State of Illinois and the Community College District for at least one year immediately preceding his/her election.
The nominating papers may be filed with the Secretary of the Board of Trustees from Monday, December 12, 2022, through Monday, December 19, 2022, electronically or by appointment. A Statement of Economic Interest must be filed with the Macon County Clerk’s Office. The receipt provided by the clerk must be filed with the Secretary of the Board no later than Monday, December 19, 2022, by the 4:30 p.m. closing time.
The election will be conducted Tuesday, April 4, 2023.
