ISBE Awards Millions In Grants To Schools For Mental Health Needs

The Illinois Board of Education is awarding millions of dollars in grants to help support the mental health of students and teachers.  State Board Director of Wellness Cara Wiley says schools receiving the money must come up with a plan to meet the specific needs of students.  Other programs being funded include mental health screenings, substance abuse training, and more.  One-hundred-36 grants are being awarded to districts around the state totaling more than 86-million dollars.
