Driver Identified In Deadly Mahomet Semi Crash

The name of the semi driver killed in a crash on I-74 in Mahomet is being released.  The Champaign County coroner says 38-year-old Ivaylo Dimitrov was pronounced dead at the scene Saturday afternoon.  Illinois State Police say Dimitrov’s truck collided with another semi attempting to merge onto the road after being stopped on the shoulder.  An autopsy was scheduled for Monday.  Circumstances surrounding the crash are under investigation.
