Education Reform Bill Would Establish Child Trauma Task Force

Governor J.B. Pritzker is considering signing an education reform bill that would establish a child trauma task force.  If signed, the Whole Child Task Force would be made up of school officials and mental health experts to create a better trauma response for children.  Child experts say trauma can impact kids’ learning, and that early intervention is important.  The task force’s job would be to submit recommendations and research to government and state education officials.
