Education Secretary Linda McMahon says federal funding will continue for essential education programs as the Trump administration pushes to shutdown the Department of Education. McMahon has defended the President’s executive order to initiate the closure of the department and says many of the programs the department funds will be transferred to other agencies in an effort to make education funding more efficient.
