Illinois Teachers Union Calls For Action To Address School Violence

Illinois’ largest teachers union is calling on school districts and lawmakers to take immediate action to address increased violence in schools.  Illinois Education Association President Kathi Griffin says some lawmakers are working with the IEA on legislation to track which school districts aren’t complying with Illinois’ school safety laws.  The demand follows the deadly Michigan school shooting last month.
