In a press release Wednesday, Baby TALK issued the following statement:
“After almost 35 years, Baby TALK is thrilled to unveil our refreshed brand identity which includes a new logo, color scheme, font and tagline. The updates show the evolution of our organization since its founding in 1986. While this is a significant change within the Baby TALK organization, our core beliefs and purpose have not changed. Our team believes the refreshed look expresses the fluidity of coming alongside families and the inner-connectedness of community systems as Baby TALK enacts our mission to positively impact child development by nurturing healthy and responsive relationships during the critical early years.”
“Our design goal was to better reflect a focus on Baby TALK core values, the families we engage and the communities where the Baby TALK family engagement model is replicated. We sought to find an image that appears approachable, smart and connected. After careful consideration, we selected a more contemporary image with three balanced components to better represent the circle of care, Baby TALK’s connection to community and relationships with families. The new colors were chosen with intention as they represent honesty and trust (blue); growth and abundance (green); and calm and balance (gray) — all characteristics we hope are emulated as Baby TALK professionals engage with families, other early childhood education experts and community stakeholders nationwide.”
“During this time of brand reflection, Baby TALK leadership took a “wondering stance” with internal and external stakeholders — listening to understand and seeking to learn and grow as an organization and as a family engagement model. We know Baby TALK’s relationship-based approach with families, collaborators and professionals alike is the foundation of all aspects of our work and feel our brand should reflect the strength of that foundation. The new logo represents Baby TALK‘s next steps in becoming ever better as we engage, connect, nurture and support families, communities and each other.”
