Howard G. Buffett Announces 2022 Campaign for Macon County Sheriff

You may have noticed a couple of billboards that have shown up around town, and now it’s official. Former Sheriff Howard G. Buffett has filed a Statement of Organization with the Illinois State Board of Elections establishing “The Committee to Elect Buffett for Sheriff” with the intention of seeking the office of Macon County Sheriff in 2022. In a release from Thomas P. Schneider, Chairman of the Committee to Elect Buffett for Sheriff, Buffett will make a formal announcement at a later date.
