Illinois House Votes to Create a Domestic Violence Task Force

Illinois House lawmakers are voting to create a new domestic violence task force. The House voted unanimously for “Colton’s Task Force”, named after 18 month old Colton Miller of Joliet who was shot and killed by his father in 2019. State Representative David Welter says he talked extensively with Colton’s Mom about how the current system failed their family. The Bill now heads to the Senate for consideration.
