Frerichs Encourages Gifting Bright Start Savings Accounts this Christmas

If you need a last-minute gift idea, Illinois Treasurer Mike Frerichs suggests giving the gift of college. Frerichs says for the child or teen who has everything, you may want to consider contributing to their Bright Start College Savings Account. He says the gifting program through the Treasurer’s Office makes that easy. Bright Start funds can be used for tuition, room and board and other expenses. Visit illinoistreasurer.gov to get started.
