Maroa-Forsyth got behind early in their Sangamo Conference match on Thursday night at Williamsville but battled for three sets to pick up the hard fought victory, 15-25, 25-22, 25-23. It was not an easy night for the Trojans as they got down early and lost a tough first set 15-25 to give the home squad Williamsville all the momentum heading into the second set. Maroa with their backs against the wall, fought hard to bring the match even at one set a piece and then brought it home in the third set to move back above .500 at 5-4 and 2-0 in the Sangamo Conference. Savana Sparks and Cydney White combined for 22 Trojan kills on the night and Fiona Padrutt finished with four block. Maroa-Forsyth will go on the road to take on Monticello in a non-conference match on Monday night.
