(Decatur, IL) -- A man who was arrested July 4th for allegedly bringing nearly 60 pounds of pot onto a Greyhound bus faces up to 60 years in prison. Michael King was arraigned on a single count of cannabis trafficking, a Class X felony. A pair of detectives approached the 48-year-old at the Pilot Travel Center where he admitted to be heading from Arizona to Michigan and was carrying two suitcases which he did not pack. A subsequent search of the bags turned up two big bales of weed. King said he was getting paid two-grand to transport the suitcases, which he would hand-off to an unknown man in Michigan at the bus station. He’ll appear with his lawyer at a pre-trial hearing July 31st.
