(Effingham, IL) -- The ISP says troopers will be monitoring highways and interstates all across the state this holiday weekend. Memorial Day is one of the busiest travel periods of the year and motorists are being urged to be especially cautious. Troopers will concentrate on the Fatal Four, the most common violations associated with deadly crashes. Speeding, DUI, seat belt violations and distracted driving. Last year state police issued nearly 32-hundred speeding tickets, 15-hundred for seat belts and nailed 180 for DUI.
