(Decatur, IL) -- Although Scovill Zoo will be packed full of giddy critter egg hunters this weekend, bean counters at the attraction are not wearing smiles. That’s because they’re staring down a five-figure cost to repair a couple of major issues that cropped up this month. The snow caused the roof of an enclosure to cave in and a couple weeks ago thieves made off with the copper piping that served the fountain at the entrance. Replacing the pipes will cost seven-grand alone. Regardless, the zoo will open for the season as scheduled on April 6th.
