Forsyth To Consider Tourism Director

(Forsyth, IL) -- The Forsyth Village Board will soon be considering whether to hire someone to administrate its tourism dollars. The money generated by the town’s hotel/motel tax is piling up and officials want to figure out a proper way in which it should be spent. The money collected through the tax has been mandated to be spent on promoting more tourism, so village administrator Mike Miller has piped up to point out that an experienced person needs to lead such an effort. He’s putting together a proposal for the board’s next meeting March 4^th that would outline a detailed job description for such a job.
