(Monticello, IL) -- Washington Elementary in Monticello is cleaning up after a fire Thursday afternoon. It was apparently intentionally set in a bathroom toilet paper dispenser, causing some minor damage to the lavatory and smoke damage to duct work and a room across the hallway. Nearly 400 students at the elementary school and the high school, which share a campus, were temporarily evacuated while firefighters took care of business. Students may not have use of some classrooms near the site of the blaze.
