(Springfield, IL) -- State Senator Chapin Rose is none too pleased with the cuts to education being proposed by Governor Quinn in his FY-14 spending plan. Quinn wants to slash about 400-million-dollars from the budgets of public schools and that includes a major cut in school transportation dollars. The governor says his proposed education cuts do not include early childhood or MAP grant programs.
