(Champaign, IL) -- Congressman Rodney Davis is putting the call out for young men and women interested in attending a U.S. Service Academy. Applications are now being accepted as members of Congress are asked to nominate candidates for the academies each year. Interested 13th District residents must be between 17 and 23, a U.S. citizen and single with no dependents. Candidates can be considered for openings at West Point, Annapolis, the Air Force Academy or Merchant Marines Academy. Contact Congressman Davis’ local office for an application packet. Submissions are due by November 1st. High school records, ACT or SAT scores, recommendations, essay responses and an interview will determine the final nominees.
