(Mattoon, IL) -- Most of the more than four dozen residents who were evacuated for a fire Wednesday afternoon at Mattoon Tower are back in their homes. A fire broke out about 3:30 on the second floor of the apartment facility for the elderly but the flames were contained to one unit. Smoke, however, reached the seventh floor. No one was injured. Still no word on a cause.
