(Mattoon, IL) -- Mattoon's video gambling revenue is going to be split equally between a few major expenses. The city council agreed Tuesday to put the money towards razing rundown buildings, equipment purchases, maintaining city property and funding police and fire pensions. They decided to go that route instead of rolling their windfall into the general fund. Councilman Randy Ervin says it's best to keep treating the extra revenue as found money instead of relying on it to fund certain projects. Mattoon should see nearly 30-grand from the video gambling take in the fourth quarter of 2012.
