(Decatur, IL) -- Municipal aggregation to purchase electricity for unincorporated areas of Macon County is now underway. County Board Chairman Jay Dunn says the panel’s unanimous 19-to-nothing vote last week paves the way for immediate action by the chosen provider, Integrys Energy. Dunn says residents and businesses should start seeing the impact on their energy bills in April or May. If you think you can save more money on your own, power customers can always opt-out of the aggregation.
