(Decatur, IL) The Decatur Park District's executive director says improvements around Lake Decatur are coming along nicely. Bill Clevenger told the crowd at Wednesday's Decatur Chamber Business Breakfast that the penguins at Scovill Zoo will arrive a little later than the June 1st target date. The zoo is now expecting the flightless birds to take root in their new exhibit by later summer or early fall. He also said the contract with the mini golf course developer was completed within district rules despite the fact that it was not bid out. Clevenger also pointed to last year's Bassmaster tournament as the kind of event he wants to see
at Nelson Park in the future.
