Judge Declines Bail Reduction For Abel

(Mattoon, IL) -- A judge has declined to lower the bail for Brian Abel, accused of pointing a rifle at a man during an incident at the home of attorney Todd Reardon near Mattoon. Police allegedly found text messages on Abel's cell phone that included comments such as "I killed before and almost did it again." He was previously convicted of second-degree murder in Cumberland County eleven years ago.
