Gun Ruling Will Stand

(Chicago, IL) -- The federal appeals court ruling ordering state lawmakers to end the state’s concealed carry ban will not be reconsidered. State Attorney General Lisa Madigan made the request but the 7^th Circuit Court of Appeals shot it down last week on a 5-to-4 vote. Macon County State’s Attorney Jay Scott says he agrees with the most recent decision to move forward. The General Assembly has until June to get a concealed carry law hammered out.
