Gun Ruling Will Stand

(Chicago, IL) -- The federal appeals court ruling ordering state lawmakers to end the state’s concealed carry ban will not be reconsidered. State Attorney General Lisa Madigan made the request but the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals shot it down last week on a 5-to-4 vote. Macon County State’s Attorney Jay Scott says he agrees with the most recent decision to move forward. The General Assembly has until June to get a concealed carry law hammered out.
