(Springfield, IL) -- Just when you thought your New Year’s diet was going so well, Girl Scout cookie time has arrived. The Girl Scouts of Central Illinois will begin their sales efforts today but customers will notice a big change this year. Scouts will be carrying the cookies with them, so there’s no more waiting for delivery. Mango Cremes are a new addition this year. It’s four-dollars per box. You can also send cookies to troops overseas through Operation Cookie Share. The effort has sent nearly 200-thousand boxes of Girl Scout cookies to military members stationed abroad.
