(Charleston, IL) -- It appears the munchies may have gotten the best of EIU running back Bobby Pettis. The 21-year-old was arrested about 3 a.m. Friday for allegedly robbing a Jimmy John’s delivery driver. The victim said he was approached from behind in the two-thousand block of Bostic Drive and felt what he believed to be a knife pressed into his side. The suspect then ran off with an undisclosed amount of cash. Pettis was picked up a short time later and jailed on aggravated robbery charges. He transferred to EIU from Division Two and had to sit out last season. He may be riding the pine again next season, pending the outcome of the charges.
