(Decatur, IL) -- Comic book lovers are looking forward to a new exhibit coming to the Madden Arts Center in February. The “Art of the Comic Book” will be on display in the Anne Lloyd Gallery throughout the entire month. It highlights the history of the art form since the 19-thirties. The Decatur Area Arts Council is opening the exhibit with Comic Fest, a family-friendly event on February 1st from 5 to 8 p.m. Folks are encouraged to come wearing their favorite comic character’s costume. There’s even a costume contest and special guest appearances by superhero characters as well.
