City Reminds Decatur Residents Of Plowing And Salting Plans
(Decatur, IL) -- Decatur officials are reminding residents that road crews are dedicated to keeping the city’s 12 main arteries clear before hitting the side streets. Those roadways, which carry the bulk of city traffic, get salted in their entirety once the snow stops. As soon as it’s practical, plows are dispatched to clear secondary streets. Road crews are responsible for more than 500 miles of city streets, so patience is key when it comes to getting your neighborhood street plowed. Winter parking restrictions are in effect along certain narrow streets. Signs are posted.
