(Decatur, IL) -- A 23-year-old Decatur man who is a suspect in a child porn case remains missing. Gerald Long’s family reported him missing last Tuesday. They last saw him leaving his home in his truck about 3 p.m. Earlier that day, police executed a search warrant at his residence for evidence linked to the production of child porn, seizing several computers and other digital devices. Long was not arrested at the time but his family said he threatened to harm himself shortly before taking off. After a review of the digital media seized from Long’s home, police issued a child porn related warrant for his arrest. Long is currently out on bail for a charge last July of aggravated criminal sexual abuse and is due in court next month for a pre-trial hearing.
