(Decatur, IL) -- Folks at the Macon County courts facility got a bit of a scare Tuesday morning. The building was evacuated for about 90 minutes after a bomb threat was phoned in to the 911 dispatch center. Authorities searched inside and all around the facility but found no potential threats and allowed people to re-enter about 11:30. Sheriff Tom Schneider said his office is investigating whether the threat was deliberate, but initial reports indicated the information seemed to be third-hand. He encourages folks to pipe up if they see or hear something suspicious but warns that anyone who makes up a story about a potential threat will be prosecuted.
